Universal Start End Times

Important Information on Changes to School Start/End Times and Bus Routes for 2017 - 2018

 At their June 13th meeting the School Board approved changes to our start/end times and a single tier bus system with K – 12 bus routes for the 2017 – 2018 school year.  This will help us to have a school schedule which better meets the developmental needs of our high school students; one that supports their growth and learning.  Research on the benefits of a later school start time for adolescents can be found below under Later Start Time Resources.  Additionally, it will provide us greater flexibility with our resources and allow us to more effectively provide for students’ instructional needs.  As we continue to implement competency-based learning PK - 12, having more options for learning is essential.  Furthermore, as a School District we value collaboration amongst our team of educators.  The changes to our start and end times, will allow provide more opportunities for professional dialogue and learning across grade-levels.

**Students in grades 7 - 12 will go to the library between 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

K – 12 Bus Routes
We are continuing to refine bus routes and will plan to have them posted on our website on August 15th. However, we recognize that some families may need estimated bus arrival times to plan childcare. Therefore, if you contact our office at 279 – 7947, we can provide an approximate time at this stage. Please note: adjustments will still be made until the beginning of August and that the information shared will be subject to change. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to make changes to improve the bus experience for our students.

New Inter-Lakes Campus Traffic Pattern
Additionally, we will be implementing a new traffic pattern for the Inter-Lakes campus at the start of the 2017 – 2018 school year. A diagram outlining this new pattern can be found HERE.  We will be sure to have a number of helping hands available at the start of the school year as our community adapts to this new flow of traffic.

Request for Proposal

School Bus Transportation Services

Notice is hereby given that the Inter-Lakes School District will receive sealed proposals for School Bus Transportation Services in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions.

The submission of a proposal shall be conclusive evidence that the Proposer has read and understands the information contained in the specifications.

The RFP for the School Bus Transportation Services is located HERE or call 603-279-7947.

Three (3) copies and one (1) signed of the proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked:

Proposal submitted by fax or electronic mail will not be considered.

All proposals must be typed. Handwritten proposals will not be considered.

Proposals must be received no later than June 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM.

A Mandatory Pre-proposal Meeting will be held at the above address on May 30, 2017 at 12:00 AM.  Attendance at the pre-proposal meeting is required in order to submit a proposal. Proposals will not be accepted from contractors who do not attend this meeting.

Inter-Lakes School District - K-8 Parent/Teacher Conferences - Monday, February 13, 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians:

On Monday, February 13, 2017 we had planned to have an early release day for students in grades K-8.  Conferences were to be held in the afternoon.  Students in grades 9-12 were going to have a full day of school.
We have missed considerable time due to weather so far this school year.  A snowstorm is forecasted for this Sunday into Monday.  This might require us to cancel the day completely or have a two hour delay on Monday.  
Based on those circumstances, at this point in time, Monday will be a full day of school for all students in K-12.  There will be no conferences held.  You will be called by a school staff member or teacher to reschedule conferences that were originally scheduled for Monday.
If school is cancelled or delayed on Monday, it will be announced in the normal manner.
